DCHRN Workshop 3, 13 May: pitching digital cultural heritage ideas

Update: please note that for organisational reasons we have moved the location of the workshop to the Moray House campus – Charteris Land room 5.02, St John Street.

Venue: The University of Edinburgh, Moray House campus – Charteris Land room 5.02, St John Street.

To round off our first set of network events, members of the network are invited to present project ideas to the network, and to a panel of research and cultural heritage experts:

  • Rebecca Bailey (Historic Environment Scotland)
  • Professor Sian Bayne (Director of Centre for Research in Digital Education, University of Edinburgh)
  • Professor Chris Breward (Edinburgh College of Art)
  • Dr Emily Pringle (Head of Learning Practice and Research, Tate).

We are also very pleased to have Dr Anne Sofie Laegran, Knowledge Exchange Manager from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, talking with us about developing powerful pathways to impact for our research projects.

The proposed schedule for the afternoon is as follows:

  • 12-12.45pm: Registration, lunch and networking
  • 12.45-1.30pm: Panel introductions & key messages
  • 1.30-3.10pm: Project Pitches – 10 minutes per pitch, with 10 minutes each for discussion with the panel & audience.
  • 3.10-3.40pm: Dr Anne Sofie Laegran, Knowledge Exchange Manager, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Edinburgh on designing powerful ‘pathways to impact’.
  • 3.40-4.00pm: Plenary discussion / next steps for network.
